Still home to one of Turkey’s largest Jewish communities, with a synagogue dating back to 220 BC. After visiting the Beth Israel and Senora synagogues, visit Sardis, home to the ruins of one of the largest, and most ancient, synagogues of antiquity.

One of the world’s most comprehensive ancient sites, the city of Ephesus boasts Hebrews signs and symbols among its remains.

The ancient lonia cities of Priene and Miletus’ ruins are haunting, evocative and intriguing, some adorned with Hebrew script.
